Scalzi’s shareware experiment
Posted by Will Entrekin on April 16, 2008
John Scalzi has made available a new short story, using a pay-what-you-like model, a la Radiohead.
Or, you know, me. Mine isn’t pay-what-you-like, but it’s fifty cents for short stories. Which is pretty dirt cheap.
He draws the analogy to music singles; I call it the iTunes model of publishing. It’s pretty much the same thing.
